Aesop's fables (Child's World)

A boy tending sheep on a lonely mountainside thinks it a fine joke to cry "wolf" and watch the people come running, until the day a wolf is really there and no one answers his call.

A maiden daydreams of what she will buy with the money she expects to earn for the pail of milk she carries on her head but she soon learns that it is better to wait until she actually has the money in hand.
