[synopsis] => Keystone Prairie Dogs: This is the last in a series of three eBooks, which uses social commentary and photographic parodies-to raise awareness of a highly valuable and misunderstood species in the hopes of broadening the conversation through humor combined with education.
The Keystone Prairie Dog images represent spoofs on a broad range of subjects, including the colonizing Mars, which has been an increasingly hot topic, as NASA steps up the pace to put human boots on the Red Planet and private companies advertise intent for future passenger shuttles to Mars.
The eBooks are all designed to impart a duel message: how similar prairie dogs are to human beings, because they have distinct personalities, social behavior and responsibilities to the colony; and how vitally important prairie dogs are to the natural ecosystem, which means they don't deserve the designation as "pests."
The interest in terraforming and colonizing Mars for the future of humanity ranges from the fact that it is the best planet for sustaining life to the fear that all Earth- bound species could get wiped out by centuries of climate decimation or other events. This is where Keystones and humans part ways, because prairie dogs have no interest in burrowing around the Red Planet...but, they have no shortage of opinions on how modern politics contributes to human-foolishness or the potential demise of all Earth's inhabitants.
In addition to playing if for laughs with parody, spoofs and photographic images, all three Keystone Prairie Dogs eBooks have resource lists and scientific information contributed by wildlife experts, biologists and participating conservation groups.
