[synopsis] => Triggered by the tragic discovery of a friend's body, a young Indian embarks on a quest to find the killers. It is the beginning of a voyage of discovery, in which Kisuhs Kamkamoss must face many challenges and confront the dangers and realities of a rapidly changing world.
This fictional work taps into Native American myth and legend and is set around the time of first contact with the outside world. Its geographical setting is the northeastern United States and southeastern Canada (modern day New England and New Brunswick). The story includes reference to a number of tribes residing there to this day; namely, Mi'kmaq (Lnu or MI'kmaw), Maliseet (Wolastoqiyik), Passamaquoddy (Pestomuhkati), Abenaki (Alnobak), and Penobscot (Panawahpskek) the five tribes of Wabanaki Confederacy.
