Description
Told through a blend of interviews, documentary footage, and reconstructed scenes, this film examines the true story of art professor Steve Kurtz, who called the police when his wife died and was detained and questioned as a bioterror suspect due to materials found in his house. On May 11, 2004, police responding to his distressed 911 call became suspicious of biological equipment in his house and contact the FBI. Only hours after his wife's death, he found himself detained as a suspected "bioterrorist," as dozens of federal agents in Hazmat suits scoured his home, seizing his art materials, computers, manuscripts, books, his cat, and even his wife's body.
