Description
In North Africa, Frank purchases an antique puzzle box. He takes it home to England where he solves the puzzle and hooked chains immediately fly out and tear into his flesh. Demons called Cenobites inspect Frank's body. Their leader, Pinhead, twists the box back and the room appears empty. Later, Frank's brother, Larry and his wife, Julia, move into Frank's old house and discover a hideous creature. It happens to be the man's half-brother, who is also the wife's former lover, hiding upstairs. The creature is brought back into existence by a drop of blood on the floor. The creature soon forces Julia to bring him his necessary human sacrifices to complete his body. Then Larry's niece, Kirsty Lawrence, solves the puzzle calling forth Pinhead. She finds herself bargaining with the Cenobites, whose greatest pleasure is the greatest pain.
