Description
Modest English Quaker Honor Bright moves to Ohio in 1850, where she discovers that principles count for little, even in a religious community supposedly committed to human equality. She is drawn into the Underground Railroad, helping runaway slaves, and befriends two strong, defiant women. Honor must decide if she, too, can act on what she believes, whatever the personal costs.
