The film is partly based on the book, The terror timeline by Paul Thompson, which raises disturbing and still unanswered questions about the events leading up to 9/11. Hijacking catastrophe makes a case that the 9/11 catasrophe was skillfully "hijacked" to carry out a pre-existing vision of American global empire, a radical right-wing agenda that has transformed our foreign policy, curbed civil liberties, and cut domestic programs.
